RouteAI Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

RouteAI collects only the minimal information required to generate and synchronize your itineraries:

• Trip Preferences & Prompts: Destination choices, trip duration, budget tier, and personal activity tags entered into the travel wizard.
• Device & Diagnostics Data: Anonymous iOS version, crash logs, and performance metrics to troubleshoot bugs and improve app stability.
• Apple In-App Purchase Status: Anonymized transaction tokens through Apple StoreKit to verify active RouteAI Nomad Pro subscriptions.
• Location Data (Optional): If you grant permission, your current GPS coordinates are used exclusively to calculate walking directions to nearby attractions. We never track or store your location history on background servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is utilized solely for:

• Synthesizing personalized AI travel itineraries and maps.
• Facilitating real-time squad collaboration with friends you invite.
• Generating digital Apple Wallet passes (.pkpass) on your device.
• Delivering real-time weather and precipitation alerts for your destination.

3. We Never Sell Your Data

RouteAI has a zero-monetization policy on personal data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your travel itineraries, booking records, or search queries to advertising networks, third-party data brokers, or marketing intermediaries.

4. Offline Storage & Apple Ecosystem Security

RouteAI stores your itineraries in local encrypted SQLite and SwiftData caches on your device. All network communications with our AI servers utilize TLS 1.3 encryption. Apple Wallet passes are generated using cryptographic Apple Pass certificates.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

Under GDPR and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you retain the right to access, export, or permanently delete all your itineraries at any time directly in the app under Settings > Privacy > Delete Account & Data.
